Last week, we had the opportunity to visit the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory to conduct experiments on the SANS2D beamline. Our goal was to analyze the structural characteristics of seaweed, relevant for their use as foods ingredients, and the results were more than promising! 🌊🔎.
The team, consisting of Drs. Marta Martínez Sanz, Patricia López-Sanchez, Yubexi Correa, and Vera Cebrián Lloret, worked over the three days to make the most out of the awarded beam time and exploit the full potential of small angle neutron scattering. It was an intense and exhausting experience, but it was absolutely worth it, and we were able to collect very interesting data. 📈👏
We would like to extend our gratitude to Remade@ARI for funding this experiment and ISIS staff for the technical help, which enabled us to move forward with our research and enjoy such a great opportunity.
